FundScout is a financial technology service that analyzes your email and financial accounts to identify money-saving opportunities, including:

  • Price protection claims
  • Forgotten subscriptions
  • Warranty tracking
  • Refund opportunities
  • Bill negotiation opportunities

3. Account Registration

To use FundScout, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Service Authorization

By connecting your accounts, you authorize FundScout to:

  • Access your email accounts in read-only mode
  • Retrieve transaction data from connected financial accounts
  • Analyze this data to identify savings opportunities
  • Generate claim forms and documentation on your behalf

You may revoke these authorizations at any time through your account settings.

5. Fees and Payment

  • Subscription Fee: $9.50 per month (early access pricing)
  • Billing Cycle: Monthly, charged in advance
  • Refunds: No refunds for partial months
  • Price Changes: We may change prices with 30 days notice
  • Free Trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when filing claims
  • Review and verify all claim submissions before sending
  • Comply with merchant and credit card company policies
  • Not use the Service for fraudulent purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or compromise our systems

7. Service Limitations

FundScout:

  • Identifies potential savings opportunities but does not guarantee approval of claims
  • Provides tools and automation but is not a financial advisor
  • Cannot control third-party claim approval processes
  • May have occasional service interruptions for maintenance

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of FundScout are owned by FundScout, Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

9. Privacy and Data Security

Your use of FundScout is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We implement bank-level security including:

  • 256-bit AES encryption
  • SOC 2 Type II compliance
  • Read-only access to connected accounts
  • Regular security audits

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FUNDSCOUT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FundScout and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

  • By You: Cancel your subscription through account settings
  • By Us: For violation of these Terms or fraudulent activity
  • Upon termination, your access will continue until the end of your current billing period

14. Governing Law
